Functions and Responsibilities of the Committee:

• Ensure implementation and compiiance of the UGC/AICTEICTEI GTU regulations, direcrions and other instructions issued by competent authorities concerning prevention and prohibition ofragging.
• Creale awareness among students, parents/guardians, faculty and staff regarding the prohibition of ragging, its consequences and the instilutional zero-tolerance policy.
• ldentily and periodically review vulnerable locations/ "hot spots" in academic blocks, hostels, canteen, playgrounds, lransport areas and other campus premises, and recommend preventive measures.
• Receive, examine and promplly act upon complainls or informalion relating to ragging, while maintaining confi dentiality and protecting complainants/witnesses from victimisation.
• Coordinate with the Anti-Ragging Squad, Hostel Rector/Wardens, Security Staff, local police and other concemed authorities for prevention, monitoring and immediate response.
• Maintain proper records of complaints, actions taken, awareness activities, meetings and compliance, and submit reports to the Principal/competent authority as required.
• Conduct periodic meetings and review the effectiveness ofanti-ragging measures, particularly at the beginning ofeach academic session and during other vulnerable periods.
